It's crazy early, but wanted to update quickly. We'll be on the road in 20 minutes to travel for three hours to the mountain town of Corrolitos. While there we expect to build a house in 6 hours using only hammers and chainsaws. Back late this evening - pray for safety on this long trip and longer day.
Following the team's day at our ministry sites some of us attended a professional soccer match with the Micah boys in the National Stadium - wonderful to get to spend time with the boys in one of their favorite activities. The home team, Olympia, won on a late goal.
Some of the team visited AFE and the dump along with the streets yesterday. At AFE my favorite thing to do is spend time in the nursery/toddlers. Seeing the love, nurture and teaching that takes place in the lives of these darling little ones while remembering that some of these are picked up at day's end to go back to live in the dump is all heartwarming and heartbreaking all at the same time. Pray for pastor Jeony and AFE.
Gotta go.
