Jim Wilson, Church Administrator, Expansion Project Manager Jim has been a part of Grace Point since 1984. During that time he has served in numerous ways from working in the nursery, to being an AWANA leader in children's ministry program, to serving numerous terms as an Overseer. Jim is married to Christine who teaches at Westside Christian High School. Their daughter Megan Elliott and her husband Josh are frequent members of the Sunday morning worship team. Jim's hobbies include fishing, hunting and golf, but he and his wife Chris enjoy camping, kayaking & biking together. Jim's background is in business management where from 1998 until 2004 he was President and CEO of a privately held granite and marble business here in Oregon. Prior to running the granite company Jim was Vice President of Timber for a large multi-mill publicly owned wood products company in the Portland area. Writes Jim, "I feel that wearing the Administrator hat is one that allows me to set our Senior Pastor free to be a shepherd rather than to spend his time in the administrative roll. I view the opportunity to fill the roll of Project Manager for our ongoing expansion project as a blessing and privilege from God. I have been involved in building many things in my career but this is my first opportunity to develop a piece of God's property and to build His house. My goal in this role is to keep my hands off the wheel and my fingerprints off of the project. This is a big God thing and we simply need to walk by faith, wait on His timing and then watch God work." |
