Mary Hunter, Children's Ministry Director

Mary was born in Detroit, Michigan, one of ten children. She has five grown children and one stepson. She received Christ as her Savior when she was 22 years old, and has a deep desire to help others to know Him, too.

Examples of the passion God has given her include training and teaching with Child Evangelism Fellowship, and having outreach Good News Clubs in her home in Michigan for 7 years when her children were very young.

After moving to Oregon, she continued having clubs in her home for 7 years. She become the part-time director of Children's Ministry at Grace Point in 1998 and served for 7 years until a difficult family crisis ended her 25 year marriage.

Since returning to Children's Ministry, Mary has renewed enthusiasm and deep passion to build up and encourage young parents and families to work on their child's spiritual foundation, help them teach their children the great truths of God's Word, and to encourage parents to walk with and remain faithful to God.
