From our very first service in 1957 to the present, God has faithfully allowed us to teach His Gospel and minister to the growing community in the Tigard area. In addition, God has effectively used our church body to send Christian missionaries throughout the world to spread His love. As Tigard has grown and changed over the years, God has grown and changed Grace Point Community Church as well to meet the needs of His people. 

Expanding our facilities.
We believe God is prompting us once again to step up and accommodate His growing audience around us by making more space available. After much prayer as well as several years of study and analysis by a task force of our members, the Lord has led us to expand our territory and reach out to more people for Jesus. 

What it means for you.
Immediately, we will create plenty of places for you to park on site when you arrive Sunday mornings. Eliminating the need to park in the surrounding neighborhood and on the street facilitates a safe walk to service for you and your family. We understand many folks have come to visit on Sundays, been unable to find parking, and driven away. We want parking to be easy, available, and safe for you.

Secondly, we believe when more parking is made available, attendance will rise accordingly. More space will allow you and others to hear God’s Word, worship His majesty, and learn more about His grace and will for your life in a comfortable, conducive setting. As more people are anticipated to attend our church, we will have the offices, learning spaces, and event areas for additional ministries to take place.

The first phase is the addition of approximately 150 parking spaces. This takes place by developing the lower side (west) of our property and some to the north behind our existing Youth Center which is also referred to as Boldt Hall.

The second phase is the construction of a new two story (daylight basement) Worship Center. Our hope is to be able to seat between 550 and 600 people in the Worship Center which would take up the majority of the top floor of this two level 17,000 sq. ft. facility. The lower level of this building would be primarily class room space which would nearly double our present class room space.

The third phase of the project is the smallest phase where the old Youth Center (Boldt Hall) is removed and additional parking is developed utilizing the now available space. The plan would be that our youth ministry would call the present Worship Center their new home following the removal of Boldt Hall.
