Sermon Outline for Small Group Leaders:
—December 14, 2008

What Is Their Purpose?
1. To assimilate people into the church
This is based on our core value of fellowship - living out our part in the family of God. Connecting with people at a meaningful level is difficult on Sunday mornings, for a variety of reasons. In a small group setting you get to know others in the church family at a deeper level, and can then encourage each other in the Lord.
2. To be a demonstration of Gods love
This is based on our core value of ministry - loving our neighbor. Each of us needs to love, and be loved by those around us. The problems in this world, and our lives, can be altogether overwhelming. Care Groups offer a chance to communicate honestly with other believers about our struggles; to find help, healing, and Gods love through His church.
Who Can Be Involved?
You can! Care Groups are arranged with people who are in similar stages of life. So whether youre newly married, married for 50 years, parents with babies, or parents with teens - theres a place for you! There are even groups with no set structure - so everyone is welcome!
How Can I Become Involved?
Most of our current Care Groups are open for you to join. Some may currently be closed due to size constraints. We are always looking to start new groups as our church grows. If you are looking for a Care Group to join, or are interested in starting your own, please contact Pastor Brian. He will be happy to talk with you and help you find just the right group for you!
