Micah was born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. He graduated from University of Northwestern- St. Paul in 2007 with a Bachelor's in Pastoral Studies and a Bachelor's in Theatre Arts. After working as a photographer at the Mall of America and as an improv actor at Comedy Sportz in Minneapolis, he moved to Madison, Wisconsin to serve as the Director and Pastor of Student Ministries at Living Water Church for six years. He also served as a Younglife leader, the director of Adult Discipleship, and was a frequent guest speaker at numerous Christian camps and schools during that time. In 2010, he met Kasia while speaking at a Christian camp and they soon began to have numerous "date-ishes." They were married in 2012 and moved to Oregon in 2013 to pursue Micah's MDiv at Western Seminary. Their awesome son Gabriel was born in 2014 and Micah is expected to graduate from Western in December 2017. Micah is so excited to serve pastorally alongside his wife Kasia, as the interim Children's Ministry directors in this season. They deeply love Gracepoint and are so grateful that they can serve their church in this capacity with all their combined gifts and strengths, investing in the community that has so deeply invested in them these past few years.

Kasia Labovitch

Interim Children's Ministry Director

Kasia is a first generation American, both of her parents having moved from Poland to the United States in their early adulthood. Kasia grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, IL and is fluent in Polish, having attended both public and Polish schools during her youth. She spent much of her childhood as a competitive figure skater for the Chicago Jazz Synchronized Skating Teams. She grew up in a small Polish baptist church and graduated from Trinity International University in 2011, with a Bachelor's in Psychology. Having met Micah in 2010, in her second year as a camp counselor, she moved to Wisconsin after graduating. During that time, she lived with various families until her and Micah were married in 2012. She worked for Madison Area Rehabilitation Centers (MARC) while living in Wisconsin, working with adults and students with developmental disabilities in a variety of programs. She has served in children's and youth ministries at her home church, Willow Creek Community Church, and with Micah in Wisconsin. She has been raising their son Gabriel (who has some special needs) at home for almost the past three years. Kasia is so stoked to be serving again administratively alongside her husband as the interim Children's Ministry directors for the next few months. She is incredibly passionate about serving the families, children, and volunteers of Gracepoint, and is honored to be able to invest in them directly.
